Western Queensland

Western Queensland is an unforgivingly remote and utterly spectacular region. From rolling sand dunes to rugged ranges and the horizon stretching plains, it is a land of contrasts and beauty.

This region was where I got my start in photography. Working in Mount Isa for several years, I fell in love with the landscapes and bought my first camera, a Nikon D40X.

Victoria and New South Wales

The south west of Australia is much more forgiving than Western Queensland with its green landscapes, snow capped mountains and rugged coasts. The weather is much milder as well though the coastal storms have a wild beauty to them  that is rarely matched in the outback.

After spending years in Western Queensland, I moved down to Melbourne for a change of scenery.

This series was taken around Cape Paterson, Kilcunda, Phillip Island, Western Port and Berwick with a phone camera, (that being the closest thing to hand)
